Ownership of cemetery property -Community
In 1937, it was decided "That the Mankota Calvary United Church
secure land for
a cemetery". It was in the mid 1940's
that the cemetery was divided between the
two churches,
(St. Albert's Roman Catholic Church and Calvary United Church).
Later, a motion was carried
"That a further acre of land directly south of the
present cemetery
sec. W29-5-8 W3,
plus roadway sixty-six feet west,
south and
east of the entire grounds be acquired."
it was also carried to survey the
south-west quarter into burial plots.
This was followed in 1955 by a motion to
request the
United Church of Canada to procure from
the Department of Natural
Resources, Regina,
a grant of one point one acres adjoining
the present
cemetery A and B.
